Frequently Asked Questions
- How does sNET differ from other companies that offer network security products and services?
Our competitors offer a combination of hardware and software solutions that either:
a) attempt to keep intruders out (e.g., firewalls), or
b) attempt to lure intruders to attack them (e.g., honeypots).
The problem with approach (a) is that these systems provide no protection once an intruder has penetrated the network perimeter. Once an intruder finds a hole in a firewall, for example, he or she has already gained access to the vital parts of a network. The problem with approach (b) is that it unnecessarily attracts more attention to the same network that it's supposed to protect. Honeypots, for example, provide intruders with a "taste" of what resides on the real network, making it an even more attractive target. Unlike our competition, sNET offers a combination of products and services that create an environment of deception that serves to confuse intruders, track their activities, and allows managers to initiate effective counter-measures.
- Why should your organization trust sNET with its security secrets?
Because sNET has partnered with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to combat cybercrime. On many occasions, sNET has worked with (or called in) the various law enforcement agencies to help investigate computer crime scenes. According to sNET's founder and Chief Security Architect, Barry Schlossberg, "Companies in the business of security can't buy a client's trust - they need to earn it through a proven track record. Through years of working with law enforcement agencies, sNET has earned a good reputation both in the U.S. and internationally."
